Nora Dela Rosa

Being the only girl in our family, I never like to apply things in my face, I don’t like to act a girly girl (and the fact that I’m the only girl among 4 young brothers), I always ask my mom what is good for me, because she knows more, experienced more, tested and compared more products than I did. And of course she is my mom after all.
I was lucky to interview an expert in the field of beauty products, despite of the changes that happened to my plans these past few days. Setting up a company/ business is a big risk not only in terms of money, but to family and personal time also. On the other hand, it has great opportunities to others, and of course, to your family as well.
Nora Dela Rosa has a family business that produces beauty products and alike. It was established during  the early 70’s (1972). Wanting to balance the time for her business and her family, she decided to put up her business right inside her own home. The products are personalized by the founder/president of herself. Nora Dela Rosa uses her own products since then, and until now, it never failed her. She became the model of her own product that others really see the difference and its quality. Beauty products are the main interest of female since before. We all know that women’s wants to stay clean and beautiful as the years past them by.
But in every company, there are and there will be struggles we will encounter. It’s up to us how we will surpass it or how it will bring us down.  Every businessmen should love, enjoy, be passion and truthful in everything we do.

HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT I ASKED DURING THE INTERVIEW:
1. What was your foundation for this business? What gave you the strength to do it?
2. What was your family and friends’ reaction when you told them about it?
3. How did you feel when you were actually already managing it on your own?
4. What were the major struggles you have encountered?
5. How did you surpass it?
6. Any advices for other aspiring businessmen like you?

Mango Tango

* Didn't really found the picture I took in the mall.

I was in a rush because I forgot about the drink review while I was enjoying my weekend. Then I told my dad that I have to do this and he dropped me of at the mall. My mom didn’t know even give me some money so sadly to say I only had 250 pesos in my pocket. So while I was walking I saw the mango farm and bought some mango juice. I love mangoes so ordered and it cost me 55 pesos for a mango tango. There mangoes are fresh they cut the whole mangoes and put it in the blender add some water and blend it. That’s all they did to make my mango tango that cause me want to dance.
The cost is reasonable, the ingredient is highly fresh and the taste was great. (A+ for them) Sadly I didn’t compare it to another mango juice because I was full as well.
The experience is one of a kind because I discover a new place for me and I have been seeing mango farm somewhere but never try. In every review I notice the unnoticeable, we discover new place, thing and more.

McFritzFritz 2 Go

(didn't had a chance to take a picture of the real mcfritz burger I ate)

Along way home to Pasig city, in my right side not left side, I saw our old village and there is a stand the McFritz, and a sari-sari store just beside it. The McFritz is a small burger business alongside walk and on the end there is a isawan and while I ordered the laid was staring me in her weird look, and in my thoughts is this because how I dressed is something wrong with my uniform? And with this 2 ½ inch high heels I barely hit my head in their roof. And as I observe how she prepared my burger I can smell the isaw is being cook. And I suddenly miss eating street foods, so when the burger is done when I bite my first bite with the Mcfritz Burger, it doesn’t taste but even I assume it’s not good and the fact it just a stand alongside walk. So in the end I wanted more but I didn’t get some more because I went home already

Kare-kare of Mantos

In my dad's side they usually prepare this dish, chicken with "gata" with a touch of red chill and pineapple bits. but that wasn't his favorite, he only once taste it and never try it again. ButIn every occasion it was always there. While in my mom’s side there is a recipe that they always cook in every celebration. That is “kare-kare”, it’s been passed to generation to next generation. My great grandmother’s kare-kare is basically made with the simple recipe. But with “secret ingredients.” The secret ingredients are : grilled peanut and sticky rice. And when you cook it’s how you balance each ingredients to make a great kare-kare.
My mom taught me how to cook the kare kare our own way and of course the first was horrible. It turns out the sauce, can be peanut butter spread to a bread. But the second time I learn my lesson so, it turn out well compare to the first one.

Flat screen my world

Most of the shows today that are shown in T.V. are show years ago. They create their own concept, characters and theme. This is more on our local channels, that they took it from other foreign country, they also show series from the comics. That bring back the tradition of certain tome. But there is always a bad side of this, that they don't have their own stories, that they are just retelling it. Despite this bad side, their is also a better side. That our some shown in different country, that are even had an award. And our own traditions are learn by other foreign people.

Nowadays, people isn't satisfied with the simple things, effect and etc. Before people are well satisfied with this simple effect and amazed as well. As the years passed things changes, people became more demanding and high-tech. They are not contented what they have. And from what they see in T.V's that are globally accepted they want it to. In advertisements, T.V. series and etc, have this certain goals, Ratings and being globally know for their products. In a certain commercial, there always have this hidden agenda. That some people or most of the people don't realize that their has already impact them.

"Sarap to the bones"

The Max's Restaurant is celebrating 65 years of serving at the food industries. They are celebrating it with the loudest BANG and  their promo is the Max's-chicken-all-you-can. They want us to enjoy more memorable moments at Max's Restaurant with affordable value for every Filipinos. I didn't see the commercial, i just saw it in the billboard advertisement. Not just the memorable moments that Max's Restaurant wnats us to have but they want us to have some quality time with our family, business meeting and different kids of celebration that they want us to celebrate in Max's Restaurant. To Embrace Max's Restaurant and there products, that's there goal.  Some background I heard is that they serve slow, and the chicken isn't that big but Max's says it's only quarter size why we complain so much without knowing more about the promo. For me, I never tried it that's why I use is as my essay and I'm one of the fan of Max's Restaurant. For what I read that the promo runs until July 17, 2010. and I want to go there and have a lot of CHICKENS. Based from what I read and from what I know, Max's has this message that they want MORE PEOPLE to embrace their products. Not only for those are rich people but even in the middle and even in poor level. They are trying to put their hands out so that more people will be able to like them and let others spread the words about them, the positive side ONLY.
